Application Description

ADW Launcher 2: Beyond Just Tweaking Your Android Desktop

You might think that the original and best launcher of all time hasn't been updated, but think again! From a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, we actually released this update three years ago, and you might have just missed it. No worries, though—we understand not everyone has 1.21 gigawatts to spend!

We've been paying close attention to Google's recommendations on app options and settings, and after much discussion, we decided to go in the opposite direction. Why? Because without freedom of choice, there's no creativity. A launcher that bores is no fun at all.

You might find the sheer number of settings a bit overwhelming, and that's a totally normal reaction. But don't worry, your kids are going to love it. With approximately 3,720 ways to configure it to your liking, ADW Launcher 2 is the best because, well, math never lies.

Yes, we've got screens, icons, and widgets. And guess what? You can even create your own! If pre-made options are more your style, dive into our themes, widget, and template packs. Is your device's desktop feeling a bit dull? Just change it, Sam! Your style, your rules. Whether you prefer to do it or not, there's a setting for it. Tweak it, change it—shaken, not stirred.

And always remember, "There’s no such thing as 'the unknown,' only options inside ADW Settings." Are you going to miss out?

Endless Features

Most of the application has been reprogrammed and redesigned from scratch, and we've added a ton of new features. Here's a taste of what you can expect:

  • Support for Android 7.1 launcher shortcuts (with limited support on older versions down to 5.x)
  • New icons effects section where you can choose image filters and compositions. Awesome!
  • Dynamic UI coloring using wallpaper colors.
  • New way to manage screens by holding down an empty area of the desktop.
  • New methods to add widgets and shortcuts.
  • New ways to change the wallpaper, lock/unlock the desktop, or access settings by holding down an empty area of the desktop and choosing the option.
  • Fast scroll app drawer style added.
  • Indexed fast scroll app drawer style added.
  • Some desktop transitions added.
  • New section to configure icon badges.
  • Visual mode to configure desktop, icon appearance, folder appearance, and app drawer options.

  • Improved way to apply internal and external themes.

  • Template manager to easily remove, add, and share templates.
  • Improved icon properties dialog.
