Callbreak is simple to play. 52 cards are randomly dealt among four players. Based on their hand and strategy, each player bids from 1 to 8. Players follow suit, and the one with the highest card takes the trick.
Players must win a number of tricks equal to their bid. If they fall short, they receive negative points. This continues for 5 rounds, and the player with the highest total score wins.
