The game features dynamic, alternating gameplay, allowing you to respond and counter your opponent's moves—while they can do the same. Select from a wide array of champion cards for your deck, each designed with unique mechanics inspired by their League of Legends origins.
Champions appear as formidable cards on the battlefield, and with smart play, they can level up into even stronger versions. Level your champions multiple times during matches and earn Champion Mastery crests as you continue playing.

CHOOSE YOUR PATH
In [ttpp]PvE mode[/ttpp], every card you select shapes your journey. Encounter unique scenarios, earn and equip power-ups, unlock new champions, and face increasingly difficult challenges as you progress across the map. While enemies grow stronger, so will you—and you'll uncover multiple endings through repeated playthroughs.
PLAY TO WIN, NOT PAY TO WIN
You can earn cards completely free or purchase exactly what you want using shards and wildcards—no random packs, ever. Although you have the option to buy specific champions, completing your collection without spending real money is entirely achievable.
Whether you win or lose, every match contributes to your experience and progression. Choose which region to explore first and collect the cards that interest you most—you're free to switch regions anytime. As you advance, you'll gather new allies, spells, and champions.
Once per week, you’ll unlock chests from the Vault. These chests increase in value the more you play, offering better rewards—from common cards all the way up to epic rarities. They may also include wildcards, which allow you to claim any card you desire—no uncertainty involved.
DRAFT AND ADAPT
Labs are limited-time experimental game modes that introduce bold changes to the classic [yyxx]Legends of Runeterra[/yyxx] gameplay. Play with premade decks under specific conditions or bring your own customized deck. The rules change frequently, and sometimes teaming up with friends might be your best bet. CLIMB THE RANKS
At the end of each season, 1024 qualifying Ranked players from each of LoR’s four regional shards (Americas, Asia, Europe, and Southeast Asia) will compete for honor, prestige, and cash prizes in seasonal tournaments.
