The Kiwanis Club of New Kingston (KCNK) is excited to offer young learners a fun way to master spelling with the KCNK Little Bee Game, sponsored by Grace Kennedy Money Services (GKMS) and Western Union (WU). This engaging app is perfect for kids aged 4 to 9 and can be enjoyed offline, making it a great learning tool anytime, anywhere.
The game features three distinct modes: Learning Mode 1, Learning Mode 2, and Competition Mode, each with 10 progressively challenging levels. Each level includes at least 15 words, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
In Learning Mode 1, children learn to spell by tapping letters in sequence. The app pronounces each letter, helping kids to learn and correct mistakes easily. They must spell each word correctly to advance, and can revisit any level to improve their skills.
Learning Mode 2 challenges students with jumbled letters. They must rearrange the letters to form the correct word, with the app providing audio support and the option to correct errors.
For a competitive edge, Competition Mode mixes in extra letters, timing each word. Players aim to spell 10 randomly selected words from the level's pool as quickly as possible. Their times are tracked and displayed on a leaderboard, adding an exciting challenge.
Students can personalize their experience by entering their name, age, parish, and school in the settings. They can also reset the game and start anew if they wish.
