World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery concludes with its seventh and final phase, launching January 28th. This major update introduces the Karazhan Crypts dungeon and the challenging Scourge Invasions event. Guilds will then face the iconic Naxxramas raid beginning February 6th, featuring a new "Empower" difficulty mode for seasoned players.
The highly anticipated Phase 7 arrives just two months after Phase 6, which saw players conquer the Ahn'qiraj raids in Silithus. The enigmatic Shadowy Figure, observed during Phase 6, remains a mystery, its potential reappearance in Phase 7 yet to be determined.
Phase 7's launch on January 28th (following server maintenance) will unleash the Karazhan Crypts, a 5-player dungeon beneath the famed Karazhan tower. Simultaneously, the Scourge Invasions will spread undead hordes across Azeroth, offering new quests and rewards at Light's Hope Chapel. Players can collect Necrotic Runes to purchase potent consumables.
Further enriching Phase 7, new runes will become available from Rune Brokers in major locations. The Naxxramas raid, opening February 6th, will offer the "Empower" difficulty, adding layers of complexity to the four wings and the final Frostwyrm Lair encounter with Sapphiron and Kel'thuzad.
While Season of Discovery draws to a close, World of Warcraft Classic's future remains bright, with exciting plans for 2025 across all game versions. The long-term vision for Seasonal realms is yet to be unveiled by Blizzard.
