The LG UltraGear GX790 is a 27-inch monitor featuring a 2560x1440 resolution (109ppi), a blistering 480Hz refresh rate, and G-Sync compatibility. It utilizes LG's latest WOLED panel technology, delivering near-instantaneous 0.03ms response times and true black levels unmatched by other display types, including Mini-LED. The monitor covers 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, carries HDR True Black 400 certification, and is factory calibrated. For connectivity, it offers one DisplayPort 2.1 port (required for 480Hz operation), two HDMI 1.4 ports, and two USB 3.0 ports.
The combination of OLED and an ultra-high refresh rate makes the GX790 exceptional for fast-paced, twitch-sensitive games like first-person shooters. To fully leverage framerates up to 480fps at 1440p, you'll need a sufficiently powerful graphics card. For many titles, a GPU like the GeForce RTX 4070 or better is recommended, though less demanding games such as Counter-Strike or Fortnite will have lower requirements than something like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
