Monster Hunter Now's Season 5: The Blossoming Blade is poised to launch on March 6th, 2025, bringing a wealth of new content. Niantic has unveiled the details, promising exciting challenges, fresh weapons, a revamped Season Pass, and the introduction of several formidable monsters.
Pre-Season 5 Treats and New Monsters
Even before Season 5 begins, players can look forward to the arrival of the Chatacabra on February 28th, marking its debut before its appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. The season's official launch will also see the addition of Glavenus and Arzuros to the roster of huntable monsters.
Weapon Enhancements and Balance Tweaks
Expect significant balance adjustments to weapons, aiming to enhance the viability and enjoyment of each weapon type. The Sword & Shield receives a buff, improving its ability to target weak points like tails. The Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now reward precise timing with amplified power and more satisfying combo sequences.
The Guard skill is also receiving a much-needed upgrade. Previously, leveling up Guard provided minimal benefit, but now, higher skill levels will noticeably reduce damage taken while blocking. Further details on additional weapon tweaks will be included in the full patch notes released on March 6th.
Inventory Expansion and Material Trading
Season 5 addresses a common player concern: overflowing inventories. An Item Box Expansion will be available as a Supply Item, providing an additional 250 inventory slots.
A new feature celebrating Monster Hunter Now's 1.5-Year Anniversary will launch on March 17th. This feature will allow players to exchange special materials obtained through hunts and events for valuable rewards, including Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
