Ace Trainer: Farlight Games' New Release Now in Early Access

by Peyton Feb 19,2025

Farlight Games, fresh off their successful 2024 collaboration with Lilith Games on AFK Journey, has a new title in soft launch: Ace Trainer. This intriguing blend of tower defense, pinball, and creature collection is currently available in select regions, including South Korea and the US.

Ace Trainer features the familiar gameplay loop of collecting, training, and leveling up fantastical creatures – think Pokémon, but with a zombie twist. Instead of traditional turn-based battles, players deploy their creatures in tower defense-style combat against waves of undead enemies. The game also incorporates pinball mechanics for resource gathering, adding another layer of strategic depth.

The game's eclectic mix of genres – PvP, PvE, tower defense, and pinball – is ambitious, to say the least. While the wide range of mechanics might initially appeal to many, its long-term viability remains to be seen. The multi-region soft launch suggests Farlight holds high hopes for Ace Trainer's global success, but only time will tell if this "everything-but-the-kitchen-sink" approach pays off.
