Alphadia III: KEMCO

Today marks the global Android release of Alphadia III, the latest installment in the acclaimed Alphadia series. Developed by EXE CREATE and published by KEMCO, this game initially debuted in Japan last October. Dive into the rich narrative and engaging gameplay that this RPG has to offer.

What’s the Story in Alphadia III?

Set in Alphadian Year 970, Alphadia III unfolds during the climactic phase of the Energi War, a monumental struggle over the control of a mysterious life force known as energi. The world is divided into three major factions: the Schwarzschild Empire in the north, the Nordsheim Kingdom in the west, and the Luminea Alliance in the east, all vying for dominance.

As the conflict reaches its boiling point, the narrative introduces us to Alfonso, a clone soldier whose life takes a dramatic turn following a visit from a girl named Tarte. She brings the devastating news of another clone's death, sparking a pivotal change in Alfonso’s journey.

What’s the Gameplay Like?

Alphadia III maintains the series’ tradition of turn-based combat viewed from a side perspective, all rendered in a nostalgic pixel art style. The game introduces several systems to enhance the strategic depth of battles. Among them are SP Skills, which accumulate during combat and can dramatically shift the tide of battle when deployed at the right moment.

Another key feature is the Arrays system, which offers various battle formations and strategies that unlock as you progress. These Arrays allow for a tailored approach to combat, depending on the adversaries you face.

A unique addition to the gameplay is the Energi Crock, where players can deposit surplus items gathered during their travels. Over time, the Crock produces Energi Elements that can be traded for equipment or other valuable items at exchange shops.

Throughout your journey, you'll encounter various factions such as the peacekeeping alliance, Deval, and elite units like the Rosenkreutz from Nordsheim. The game also features different models of energi clones, with the Berger Series from Nordsheim and the Delta Series from Schwarzschild.

Beyond the main storyline, Alphadia III offers a wealth of side content and is optimized for controller use. You can purchase the full version on the Google Play Store for $7.99, or opt for the freemium version on Android, which includes ads.
