For enthusiasts of automobile simulators, January 16, 2025, marks a historic day. Kunos Simulazioni Studios is set to launch Assetto Corsa EVO on Steam in early access, promising an unparalleled driving experience. At launch, players will have access to 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Despite being in early access, the game boasts impressive physics, controls, and realistic car behavior right from the start.
A standout feature of Assetto Corsa EVO is the introduction of a free-ride mode, allowing players to explore at their leisure. A major update slated for the summer of 2025 will add roads around the legendary Nürburgring track. This fully laser-scanned open world will span up to 1600 square kilometers and will be expanded gradually, offering an expansive playground for driving enthusiasts.
Assetto Corsa EVO aims to set a new standard in car simulation, rivaling industry giants like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport with its photorealistic graphics and advanced physics. At its debut, the game is expected to feature 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with continuous free updates planned to add more content. Each circuit will replicate real-world conditions, such as rolling tires or wet pavement, and feature animated spectators to enhance the realism of the experience.
The developers have also focused on enhancing the dynamics of the automobiles, including suspension damping and shock absorption. The Driving Academy mode will be a key single-player feature in Early Access, where players must complete tracks within specific time limits to earn a license. This license will unlock access to the game's most prestigious cars, adding depth and challenge to the gameplay.
