More Information Coming from Bandai

The official announcement of a GUNDAM TCG has sent ripples of excitement through the Gundam fanbase! A promotional video posted on X (formerly Twitter) on September 27th launched the "#GUNDAM" global TCG project. This launch coincides with the Mobile Suit Gundam 45th anniversary, celebrating 45 years since the original series debuted. The format—physical cards only, online play, or a hybrid—remains unconfirmed.

Complete details will be revealed on October 3rd at 7 PM JST during Bandai's CARD GAMES Next Plan Announcement livestream on the official Bandai YouTube channel. The event will feature popular actors Kanata Hongo and Kotoko Sasaki, and former TV Tokyo announcer Shohei Taguchi. Hongo's participation is particularly noteworthy, given his passion for GUNPLA and his involvement in the GUNPLA 40th Anniversary Project.

The new TCG has generated considerable buzz, particularly among fans who remember Bandai's previous (now discontinued) TCGs like Super Robot Wars V Crusade and Gundam War. Many are anticipating a spiritual successor, even referring to it as "Gundam War 2.0." For the latest updates, follow the official GUNDAM TCG X (Twitter) account.
