BlizzCon: Virtual BlizzConline Unveils Six New Dates

Blizzard's Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour: A Global Celebration

Blizzard Entertainment is commemorating three decades of Warcraft with a worldwide tour featuring six fan conventions. These intimate gatherings, scheduled between February 22nd and May 10th, will offer attendees a unique opportunity to celebrate the Warcraft universe.

The tour replaces the traditional BlizzCon, which Blizzard skipped in 2024 in favor of other events like Gamescom and the inaugural Warcraft Direct. This year's tour celebrates several franchise milestones, including World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary, Hearthstone's 10th, and Warcraft Rumble's first.

The six-city tour kicks off in London (February 22nd) and continues to Seoul (March 8th), Toronto (March 15th), Sydney (April 3rd), Sao Paulo (April 19th), and concludes in Boston during PAX East (May 10th).

Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour Dates:

  • February 22 – London, United Kingdom
  • March 8 – Seoul, South Korea
  • March 15 – Toronto, Canada
  • April 3 – Sydney, Australia
  • April 19 – Sao Paulo, Brazil
  • May 10 – Boston, United States (during PAX East)

While details remain scarce, the events promise live entertainment, engaging activities, and opportunities to connect with Warcraft developers. Unlike BlizzCon or Warcraft Direct, the focus will be on creating memorable experiences rather than major announcements.

Ticket Information:

Tickets will be free but extremely limited. Blizzard indicates that information on how to obtain tickets will be released through regional Warcraft channels. Fans are encouraged to monitor their local Warcraft communities for updates.

The Future of BlizzCon:

The future of BlizzCon remains uncertain. A late summer or early autumn BlizzCon could serve as a platform to showcase content from the World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion, including the anticipated player housing. However, Blizzard's silence regarding future BlizzCons suggests a potential shift to a biannual schedule. Regardless, the Warcraft World Tour presents a unique opportunity for fans to engage with the franchise.
