Set in an alternate version of mid-14th century Europe, The Blood of Dawnwalker follows the journey of a young man named Coen. After the events of the intro, Coen acquires supernatural abilities and embarks on a mission to rescue his loved ones from the clutches of vampires. The urgency of his quest is underscored by a strict time limit: he has only 30 days and nights to succeed. Time progresses during specific gameplay moments, requiring players to manage it strategically.
Throughout the game, Coen faces significant moral dilemmas, choosing between retaining his humanity or succumbing to his dark vampiric nature. This choice not only impacts the storyline but also influences gameplay mechanics. A key feature is the "Blood Hunger" mechanic, where Coen must feed on blood to avoid losing control.
