Catch Karrablast, Shelmet in Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The February Community Day is set to bring excitement with two featured Pokémon taking center stage. Scheduled for February 9th, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, this event promises a fun-filled day for all trainers.

Who Are the New Pokémon in the Pokémon Go February Community Day?

Karrablast and Shelmet are the stars of this Community Day. During the event, these Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, providing the perfect opportunity for some serious catching action. Keep your eyes peeled for their rare Shiny versions as well.

The highlight of the event is the evolution benefits. Evolving Karrablast during the Community Day, or up until February 16th at 10:00 p.m. local time, will yield an Escavalier that knows the Charged Attack Razor Shell. This move delivers a solid 35 power in Trainer Battles and a whopping 55 power in Gyms and Raids. On the other hand, evolving Shelmet within the same timeframe will grant you an Accelgor equipped with the Charged Attack Energy Ball, boasting a powerful 90 power in both Trainer Battles and Gyms and Raids.

Engaging in the Special Research will reward you with encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet, both featuring unique Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds. You'll also receive a Premium Battle Pass and a Rare Candy XL as part of the event.

Additionally, a Timed Research event will run for a week following the main event. By logging in during Community Day, you'll unlock tasks that lead to more encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet, complete with their special backgrounds.

Don’t Forget the Bonuses

The February Community Day in Pokémon Go comes packed with enticing bonuses. You'll earn 3× XP for catching Pokémon, double the usual Candy, and a 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and above to obtain Candy XL from catches. Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three hours, and there's an added surprise for those who take photos during the event. Don't miss out—make sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store.
