Clash of Clans to Remove Troop Training Times in Major Update

by Scarlett May 05,2025

Clash of Clans, a cornerstone of mobile gaming, is about to undergo a significant transformation that will change the way players engage with the game. Supercell has announced the complete removal of troop training times, allowing players to deploy their armies almost instantly and dive into battles faster than ever before. This monumental shift follows the earlier removal of training costs in 2022, marking a continued effort to modernize the game and enhance player experience.

As part of this update, Training Potions and Training Treats will no longer be available through in-app purchases or chest rewards. However, you can still acquire them from the Trader and Gold Pass for a limited time. It's crucial to use these items before the end of the month, as they will be converted to Gems thereafter.

To complement this change, Supercell is introducing a new feature called "Match Anytime." This mechanic allows you to attack a snapshot of another player's base when no real opponents are available. You'll earn rewards from these matches, but players whose bases are used won't lose anything if defeated. This system, already in use for Clan Wars and Legend League attacks, will now be a standard feature.

Additionally, keep an eye out for other updates, such as the new requirement of Elixirs or Dark Elixirs for Army Donations. For a comprehensive overview of all the changes, be sure to visit the Supercell blog.
