The strategic tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is ending its global run. While the Japanese version will continue, the international servers are officially shutting down. Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, and published by Komoe, the game, based on the popular Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion franchise, launched globally in September 2023 and will cease operations on August 29th, 2024.
Shutdown Date:
Code Geass: Lost Stories will be unavailable globally after August 29th, 2024. Access to accounts will be terminated, and official social media channels will also close on this date. In-app purchases and new downloads are already disabled.
Reasons for Shutdown:
While no official reason has been given, low download numbers and generally unfavorable global reviews are likely contributing factors. Many anime gacha games struggle to maintain a significant player base outside of Japan, where player spending tends to be higher. The game's relatively short lifespan reflects this challenge.
Japanese players can still access the game via the Google Play Store. For more gaming news, check out our coverage of Sky: Children of the Light's Tournament of Triumph!
