A dataminer working on Mortal Kombat 1 has uncovered compelling evidence suggesting the brutal fighter may eventually receive Hara-Kiri Fatalities, potentially implemented as Quitalities.
Reddit user InfiniteNightZ shared a video showcasing what appears to be Hara-Kiri Fatalities within Mortal Kombat 1. Hara-Kiri finishers, first seen in 2004's Mortal Kombat: Deception, allow a defeated player to perform a self-inflicted Fatality.

Significantly, InfiniteNightZ discovered these Hara-Kiri animations for recently added DLC characters like Ghostface. This strengthens the possibility they will be introduced in a future update rather than being scrapped content. "Now that they're including them for the DLC roster, I believe it's highly likely," InfiniteNightZ stated.
InfiniteNightZ further theorized these animations might function as Quitalities, noting that's how they are labeled in the game's code. Quitalities are instant finishers activated when a player quits a multiplayer match, a feature present in earlier series entries. "The files list them as Quitalities, so there's still hope for their inclusion," they remarked about the animations.
Following the initial discovery, prominent Mortal Kombat 1 dataminer Interloko identified additional Hara-Kiri animations.

Here are another 2 missing from the video, so looks like only Omniman and Conan doesn't have one.
I didn't try to trigger it in the game because I'm bussy finishing some stuff of the demo of my own game https://t.co/TqBKyauY0G pic.twitter.com/hL4QzLRXwf
It is important to note that this could ultimately lead nowhere. Neither NetherRealm Studios nor publisher Warner Bros. Games has officially announced Quitalities for Mortal Kombat 1.
The game recently saw a surge in player engagement with the discovery of a secret fight against Floyd, the pink ninja, and a community-wide effort to determine his unlock requirements. Additionally, fans can anticipate the upcoming guest character T-1000, and potentially more DLC, though NetherRealm has not made any official announcements.
