Following the releases of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, not all of CD Projekt RED's experts remained with the company. Some chose to embark on a new journey with The Blood of Dawnwalker.
The Blood of Dawnwalker was recently unveiled by Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by a veteran of CD Projekt RED. This new project marks an exciting venture into uncharted territories of gaming.
Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, a key figure behind Rebel Wolves, shared his motivations for leaving CDPR. His main points include:
"I wanted to embark on a new adventure with my friends, leading to the creation of Rebel Wolves. We share a deep passion for role-playing games and their rich history. However, I believe that the traditional rules governing RPGs can be pushed further and expanded upon. We've brainstormed some innovative ideas. Convincing a large corporation to embrace change and work on entirely new intellectual property can be challenging. Therefore, we realized that to bring these ideas to life, we needed to establish our own studio. It's a risky endeavor since we're exploring novel solutions. In a smaller studio like ours, the dynamics are different; we foster direct relationships and communication among team members. I believe a smaller team can achieve more because discussing and aligning on the vision is easier. It's simpler to feel the 'creative fire' and produce something truly unique."
