Dead Island 2's Patch 6 introduces thrilling new game modes and content! This update delivers a horror-filled experience with the addition of New Game Plus, a challenging new horde mode, and exciting new bundles for the Ultimate Edition.
Confront the Revenants in Dead Island 2's New Game Plus
Patch 6 unleashes New Game Plus (NG+), allowing players to replay the entire game on a higher difficulty setting, retaining their inventory, character level, and skills. Expect three additional skill slots, a raised level cap, new weapons and skins, and formidable new enemies: the Revenants. These enhanced Apex zombies boast unique behaviors and increased strength, promising a significantly tougher challenge. Developers boast that the combination of NG+ and the Revenants will amplify the difficulty.
To help players conquer NG+, all weapons will be more powerful than in the base game, with a greater variety of fixed-rarity weapons to discover.
Neighborhood Watch: A New Horde Mode
The update also introduces "Neighborhood Watch," a unique blend of horde and tower defense gameplay. Players must protect their base for five in-game days, fending off relentless zombie hordes while completing objectives to earn valuable gear.
