DIGIMON CON 2025 Announcements
New Mobile TCG Digimon Alysion Enters Development
During the March 20 DIGIMON CON 2025 livestream, Bandai Namco confirmed development of Digimon Alysion, a brand-new mobile trading card game. Following the popularity of mobile card games like Pokémon TCG Pocket and Marvel Snap, this release represents Digimon's strategic move to capture the mobile TCG market.
Digimon Alysion will be a free-to-play digital card game where players collect cards featuring various Digimon and characters from the franchise, construct decks, and battle other players. Notably, the game appears to include an extensive story mode, offering gameplay options beyond standard competitive matches.

The announcement included a new trailer showing brief gameplay footage and introducing the all-female cast expected to appear in the story mode. New characters revealed include Kanata Hondo, Futre, and Valner Dragnogh, alongside a new Digimon named Gemmon.
While no official release window has been announced, the presentation mentioned an upcoming closed beta test with more details to follow.
New Details Emerge for Digimon Story: Time Stranger

DIGIMON CON 2025 also provided substantial new information about Digimon Story: Time Stranger. Producer Ryosuke Hara discussed the game's background, main characters, and special moves for featured Digimon during the livestream.
Hara confirmed players will select from three starter Digimon from the original Digimon Adventure anime: Patamon, Gomamon, and DemiDevimon. These choices align with fan speculation, as all three appeared in the game's key promotional artwork.
The producer also revealed Time Stranger will include over 450 Digimon—the largest roster in the series' history. The new trailer showcased several fan favorites including Angewomon, Gallantmon, and Agumon. This significantly exceeds the 330 Digimon available in the previous title, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory.

Hara detailed the game's narrative and protagonists. Players can choose between two main characters: Dan Yuki (male) or Kanan Yuki (female). Both serve as secret agents for ADAMAS, an organization investigating mysterious threats to humans and Digimon alike. The story's central heroine, Inori Misono, and her partner Aegiomon will accompany players throughout their adventure. True to the game's title, time travel forms a core gameplay element, with protagonists moving through different time periods.
The event featured additional announcements including a 25th-anniversary PV for the Digimon anime, new starter decks and booster packs for the physical Digimon TCG, and a new anime series, Digimon Beatbreak, scheduled to premiere in October 2025. With numerous projects in development, Digimon fans have much to anticipate throughout the year.
