Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince – A Mobile Adventure for Monster Wranglers
Square Enix has brought the popular Dragon Quest Monsters series to mobile devices with the release of Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. Following its December 2023 launch on Nintendo Switch, this seventh installment in the series introduces players to a new perspective on a familiar character.
Who is the Dark Prince?
You play as Psaro, a young man cursed by his father, the Master of Monsterkind, rendering him unable to harm monsters. To lift this curse, Psaro embarks on a journey to become a Monster Wrangler himself. He'll team up with monsters, climb the ranks, and ultimately strive to become the Master of Monsterkind. Fans of Dragon Quest IV will recognize Psaro as the game's antagonist, but The Dark Prince reveals his side of the story.
The game unfolds in the magical world of Nadiria, where dynamic weather and changing seasons significantly impact gameplay. Recruit, train, and even combine over 500 unique monsters to create powerful allies. The weather dictates which monsters appear, encouraging exploration and discovery. Expect a vast array of creatures, from adorable to bizarre.

The Dark Prince offers an engaging experience, including access to the Mole Hole, Coach Joe’s Dungeon Gym, and Treasure Trunks – all DLC features from the console version. These additions enhance the monster-wrangling journey.
