by Aurora May 06,2025

Fortnite Hunters introduces a thrilling array of content in Chapter 6, including a brand-new map with unique locations, enhanced movement mechanics, and formidable demonic bosses. Among the diverse arsenal of weapons available this season, the Typhoon Blade stands out for those who prefer close-quarters combat and mobility. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to acquire and utilize the Typhoon Blade in Fortnite.

Updated on January 15, 2025, by Nathan Round: The Typhoon Blade has rapidly become a favored weapon for both mobility and excelling in close-range battles. This guide has been updated with guaranteed methods to help players secure this coveted item.

How To Get The Typhoon Blade

Looting Typhoon Blade Stands

The most reliable method to obtain the Typhoon Blade is by looting it from a Typhoon Blade Stand. These stands are strategically placed at various spawn points across the map, though they don't always appear. Key locations to check include:

  • Flooded Frogs
  • Magic Mosses
  • Lost Lake
  • Nightshift Forest
  • Shogun's Solitude

To acquire the blade, simply approach a Typhoon Blade Stand and press the Interact Button.

Chests & Floor Loot

For players avoiding high-traffic areas, the Typhoon Blade can also be found in Chests and as floor loot. While this method relies on luck, it's a viable alternative if stands in your vicinity have already been looted.

Defeating Demon Warriors

Another way to secure a Typhoon Blade is by defeating Demon Warriors, which spawn at three active portals each match. These warriors are marked on the map, and defeating one wielding a Typhoon Blade may result in it dropping. Additionally, they can carry one of two Oni Masks.

Purchase From Kendo

For a guaranteed acquisition, players can purchase the Typhoon Blade from Kendo using Gold Bars. Kendo is located northeast of Nightshift Forest, but you must first complete all five stages of his Melee Expertise Quests to unlock this option.

Defeating Shogun X (Mythic Only)

To obtain the Mythic version of the Typhoon Blade, players must defeat Shogun X at Shogun's Arena. This requires some effort but rewards you with the powerful Mythic Typhoon Blade.

How To Use The Typhoon Blade

The Typhoon Blade is not just a melee weapon; it's also a mobility tool thanks to its range of abilities. However, it has limited durability, and once depleted, the weapon is lost.

Here's a breakdown of the Typhoon Blade's abilities:

  • Passive Ability: Equipping the blade increases sprint speed and reduces stamina consumption.
  • Attack: Press the Shoot Button to execute a slash attack, dealing 30 damage per hit. Chain attacks for a combo, with the final blow delivering 50 damage. Use in midair for a downward attack that negates fall damage.
  • Cyclone Slash: Press the Aim Button for a heavy attack, dealing 90 damage and pushing enemies back. This ability has a 10-second cooldown.
  • Wind Leap: Press the Jump Button while sprinting to leap into the air, negating fall damage.
  • Air Dash: Press the Jump Button in midair to dash forward, also negating fall damage.

With these methods and abilities at your disposal, you're well-equipped to harness the power of the Typhoon Blade in Fortnite Chapter 6.
