Fortnite

If you're eager to dive into some thrilling heist action in *Fortnite*, you won't want to miss out on The Getaway. This exciting Limited Time Mode first made its debut back in Chapter 1 Season 5 and has returned in Chapter 6 Season 2. Here's your guide on how to play The Getaway in *Fortnite*, along with details on how long it'll be available.

Playing The Getaway in Fortnite

Getting started with The Getaway is a breeze. Simply launch *Fortnite* on your preferred platform, head to the Lobby, and navigate to the Discover section. Look for The Getaway and hit the Play button to start queuing up. If you're having trouble finding it, use the search bar in the top left corner of the Lobby, type in "The Getaway," and it should appear right away.

What Is The Getaway?

The Getaway is a heist-themed game mode where your mission is to snatch a jewel from the map and make a swift escape in a Getaway Van. It's a PvP mode, pitting you against other teams who are also vying for the jewels. The first three teams to secure a jewel and escape in a van are declared winners, but you can also triumph by eliminating rival teams. What's new this time is that The Getaway is also available in Zero Build mode, perfect for those who prefer to skip *Fortnite*'s building mechanics. You can enjoy this mode in Duos, Squads, Unranked, and Ranked formats.

The Getaway Start and End Dates

The Getaway is currently live in *Fortnite*, but mark your calendars because it will disappear on April 1 at 12 a.m. Eastern Time. Make sure to jump in and play during this window, as you'll also earn XP that contributes to your battle pass progression.

That's everything you need to know about playing The Getaway in *Fortnite*. For more tips and detailed information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
