FragPunk: Optimal Settings & Crosshair Codes

by Skylar Mar 13,2025

Many games launch with optimization issues, later patched in updates. *FragPunk*, however, has enjoyed relatively smooth performance since release. While there's always room for improvement, here's how to optimize your *FragPunk* settings and some recommended crosshair codes for a better experience.

Recommended FragPunk Settings Overview

The *FragPunk* settings are divided into five tabs. Beyond the Video tab, most settings are quality-of-life or accessibility options with minimal performance impact. However, some can significantly enhance gameplay. We'll highlight those here; others can be left at default or adjusted to your preference.

General Settings

The General tab offers several quality-of-life and personal preference adjustments. Experiment to find what suits your playstyle. Key settings to consider include:

  • Automatic Climbing – On
  • Automatic Sprint – On
  • Camera Shake During Sprint – Off
  • FOV Sprint Scaling – On
  • Flash Eye Guarding – On
  • Keep Player Centered – On
  • Minimap Orientation Rotate – On
  • Performance Metrics – On
  • Ping Visibility – 1
  • Hide Overly Visible Skin Components from Enemies – On

The General tab also includes crosshair customization options (discussed later).

Keyboard/Controller Settings

Customize your keybinds as needed. A useful tip: since we enabled Automatic Sprint, consider binding walk to Shift, mirroring common setups in games like *VALORANT* and *CS2*.

Sensitivity Settings

Sensitivity is entirely personal preference. Experiment, or use online calculators to convert settings from other games like *VALORANT* or *CS2*.

Audio Settings

Adjust Sound Effects to a comfortable level. Lower Music, Announcer, and Button Volume. Enable Character Voice Simplification to reduce unnecessary audio clutter. Voice chat settings are a matter of personal preference.

FragPunk Best Video Settings

The Video tab is crucial for performance optimization. The following settings prioritize frames per second (FPS), potentially sacrificing some visual fidelity. Since *FragPunk* is a competitive shooter, high FPS is paramount. Players with high-end PCs might tolerate higher quality settings, but these are generally recommended for optimal performance.

Minimalistic Graphics Settings

Activating Minimalistic graphics significantly reduces visual effects, resulting in a 15-20 FPS gain (based on testing). However, this noticeably impacts visual quality. Consider enabling it only if you prioritize performance over visuals. Use the following settings in conjunction with Minimalistic graphics:
