Japan Expansion for Ticket to Ride: Build the Bullet Train Network!

Embark on a virtual journey across Japan with the latest expansion for *Ticket to Ride*. Developed by Marmalade Game Studio and Asmodee Entertainment, the Japan Expansion brings the iconic map from the physical board game to digital platforms, offering a fresh and engaging experience for players.

Help Build the Train Network

For the first time, the Japan map is available digitally, but with a twist. Unlike the traditional game where you focus solely on building your own train empire, this expansion invites you to contribute to a national Bullet Train network, fostering a cooperative element. Yet, the game retains its competitive edge. You can strategize to let others shoulder the bulk of the work while you accumulate points. Beware though, the expansion features a karma system that penalizes shirking your Bullet Train responsibilities by docking 20 points from your final score. So, while you might plan to outsmart your friends, a little teamwork is essential.

The Japan Expansion also introduces two new characters that enhance the cultural immersion of the game. Meet Nakanishi Kimiko, a travel blogger who enjoys the festival circuit with her dog, and Moriyama Isamu, a gyōji or sumo referee, adding a touch of Japan's rich history and local flavor to the game beyond mere maps and trains.

Ticket to Ride Has Upgraded Trains with the Japan Expansion

Enhance your train collection with the Japan Expansion, which introduces two new trains and carriages. The Ichi Eki Saki train and the Tsuki Sleeper carriage are perfect for those leisurely travel plans, while the Isogaba Maware train and the Hayai carriage offer speed and efficiency for the more hurried journeys.

As spring arrives, the Japan map's seasonal charm is set to enhance your gaming experience. The Japan Expansion is available for download now, ready to add a new dimension to your *Ticket to Ride* sessions. You can find the game on the Google Play Store.
