The return of the classic Call of Duty Prestige system in Black Ops 6 has made XP grinding more popular than ever. Players familiar with recent titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone might have a head start. This guide explains how to utilize Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6.
Understanding Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
Following the Season 01 update, many Black Ops 6 and Warzone players discovered an abundance of previously unseen XP tokens. These were quickly used to boost XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progress. However, a November 15th update addressed this, disabling the direct activation of Legacy XP tokens within the Black Ops 6 UI.
These Legacy XP Tokens are unused tokens carried over from previous Call of Duty titles, such as Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, or Warzone, accessible via the COD HQ app. These tokens were earned through various means, including DMZ missions, Battle Pass tiers, and promotions with brands like Little Caesar’s and Monster Energy. While directly usable in Warzone, their application in Black Ops 6 required a workaround.
Utilizing Warzone XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
Initially, players could activate Legacy XP tokens from Warzone directly within Black Ops 6. This functionality was temporarily removed. The solution involved activating these tokens in Warzone first. After activation, the token and its timer would then appear in the Black Ops 6 UI, allowing for XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression boosts. This method required switching between game menus and tokens had real-time timers.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
