METAL SLUG 3 Crossover Joins 'Doomsday: Last Survivors'

by Madison Jul 21,2024

The global smash hit zombie survival game, Doomsday: Last Survivors, has just landed an exciting crossover with the classic arcade shooter, Metal Slug 3. It features a brand new hero, and a ton of themed rewards and events. For those unaware, Doomsday: Last Survivors combines gameplay from a wide variety of different genres to create the ultimate mobile game. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting, where zombies have taken over the world, and sees you take on the role of Commander of a group of survivors as you strive to carve out a new life.In terms of gameplay, that involves, primarily, protecting your survivors. You build your own shelter, complete with defences to keep the zombies at bay, then recruit heroes to help you defend it. You can upgrade heroes to increase their power, provide them with powerful equipment, and place them in formations to take advantage of their unique strengths. As a multiplayer experience, you can make friends and enemies with real-life players depending on your actions. Need a bit of help? Form an alliance and receive help if you get invaded. Feeling pretty tough? Then why not head out and raid other shelters for resources? You can play however you want. What’s in the Doomsday: Last Survivors x Metal Slug 3 Crossover?

Doomsday: Last Survivors x Metal Slug 3 kicked off today, and runs all the way until Halloween on October 31. It invites you to participate in a special event to collect the new hero, Marco and Eri.
The event, known as ‘Puzzle Event’, sees you draw puzzle pieces gacha-style, and use them to try and complete a jigsaw to earn rewards. Aside from the brand new hero, you can also earn new vehicle, squad skin, armament set, shelter skin, and many more. It’s Metal Slug 3 cosmetics heaven.
Additionally, ‘Metal Trial,’ challenges you to complete stages using preset heroes with unique strengths.
There’s an exclusive collaboration merch giveaway that’s free to enter too. You can take part in the in-game lucky draw web page events in September and October and stand a chance to win a custom gold accessory.
There are a ton of events outside of the game too, which you can check out right now on the special event website. These include a ‘Collab Lucky Cards’ event, which encourages you to share the page on social media. As a reward, you get the chance to flip cards, which can grant you in-game rewards or even a $500 Amazon Gift Card.
If you’ve been trying to get your friends to play with you for some time, now’s the perfect time to do so. That’s all thanks to another event, which invites you to form a Doomsday Squad and participate in the Doomsday Challenge, which sees you taking on challenging missions together in exchange for rewards.
Lastly, there’s a separate event that focuses on getting lapsed players back in the game. Simply get them to return, complete missions together, and win rewards. The best prizes include Amazon Gift Cards, so it’s well worth it.
