Lego has unveiled a series of new sets inspired by the upcoming live-action film, "A Minecraft Movie," starring Jack Black as Steve. These sets offer fans a sneak peek at some of the mobs and characters they can expect to see in the movie. As reported by Games Radar, two sets have been announced so far: the Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring and The Ghast Balloon Village Attack, which will complement the existing range of Minecraft Lego sets and feature figures of Jack Black's Steve and Jason Momoa's character, The Garbage Man.
The Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring set, priced at $49.99 and comprising 491 pieces, hints at a thrilling gladiator-style battle scene in the film. It depicts Momoa's character, The Garbage Man, engaged in combat with a zombie mounted on a giant chicken. While it's unclear whether this represents a baby zombie on a regular-sized chicken or a larger-than-life scenario, the overall height is approximately twice that of The Garbage Man. The set also includes Steve, his companion Henry, and a giant zombie pigman, along with a fighting ring, a chest filled with gold, and a small viewing stand equipped with weapons.

The Ghast Balloon Village Attack set, priced at $69.99 with 555 pieces, suggests that the film will feature the Nether's iconic marshmallow-like Ghast. This set showcases a significant battle scene in a typical overworld village, featuring one villager minifigure, two piglins, Steve, characters named Natalie and Dawn, and an iron golem.

Both sets will be available starting March 1, just a month before "A Minecraft Movie" premieres in theaters on April 4. The film, officially revealed in September, faced immediate backlash from fans due to the contrast between the live-action characters and the animated, green screen-generated world. In response to this criticism, the director and producer, in an interview with IGN in November, acknowledged the feedback but confidently stated they were "ready for everything."
