Neverness to Everness Closed Beta Test Announced in China

by Joseph Feb 11,2025

Hotta Studios' upcoming open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test. Unfortunately, participation is limited to players in mainland China.

Gematsu recently highlighted new lore details for the game, which shouldn't surprise those familiar with the Eibon city trailers (see below). The expanded lore reveals a more comedic narrative and showcases the intriguing blend of the bizarre and ordinary within the game's Hetherau setting.

Hotta Studios, a subsidiary of Perfect World (creators of the successful Tower of Fantasy), is entering a competitive 3D RPG market increasingly focused on urban environments. Neverness to Everness, however, distinguishes itself with a unique feature: open-world driving. Players can purchase and customize various vehicles, but be warned – crashes have realistic consequences!

The game faces strong competition from titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both of which occupy similar niches in the mobile 3D open-world RPG landscape.
