The Pocket Gamer Awards 2024 winners are finally here, following two months of nominations and voting! While some anticipated titles took the spotlight, a few surprising victors emerged from the public vote. The journey from October's nominations to the grand awards ceremony has been remarkable. Not only did we receive an overwhelming number of votes, but—and this is crucial—the winners truly represent the breadth and depth of the mobile gaming industry.
This year's list showcases a diverse range of developers, from gaming giants like NetEase (with their Sony IP: Destiny), Tencent-backed SuperCell, and Scopely, to established publishers such as Konami and Bandai Namco, and beloved indie developers including Rusty Lake and Emoak. The success of ported games is also noteworthy; just as PC often sees adaptations of mobile hits, this year has seen a significant number of excellent titles make the transition in the other direction, resulting in three strong port winners.
