May 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting month for Pokémon GO enthusiasts. One of the highlights is the much-anticipated return of the Lake Trio in 5-Star Raids across various regions.
What Does Pokémon GO Have in Store for May 2025?
Kicking off the month, Tapu Fini will grace Five-Star Raids from May 1st to May 12th, bringing along its special move, Nature's Madness, and a chance to encounter its Shiny form.
Following that, starting May 12th, players can participate in a full Lake Trio tour, with Uxie appearing in Asia-Pacific, Mesprit in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, and Azelf in the Americas and Greenland. This regional distribution adds a unique twist to the experience.
Once the Lake Trio concludes their stint, Tapu Bulu will take the stage in raids from May 25th to June 3rd, 2025, also showcasing Nature's Madness and a potential Shiny encounter.
For fans of Mega Raids, May offers a robust lineup. Mega Houndoom will be available from May 1st to 12th, followed by Mega Gyarados from May 12th to 25th, and concluding with Mega Altaria from May 25th to June 3rd.

The month kicks off with the "Growing Up" event from May 2 to 7, accompanied by a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3rd. The "Crown Clash" event runs from May 10th to 18th, with the Dynamax Suicune Max Battle Weekend scheduled for May 10th and 11th.
Community Day is set for May 11th, though the featured Pokémon remains a mystery for now. The "Crown Clash: Taken Over" event will occur from May 14th to 18th, and a Shadow Raid Day is planned for May 17th.
Later in the month, "Final Strike: GO Battle Week" will take place from May 21st to 27th, followed by the May Community Day Classic on May 24th. The month will close with a Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day on May 25, 2025.
