Pokémon Go to Test Battle Skills in Sparring Partners Raid Day

by Anthony May 05,2025

Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping event in Pokémon Go as Sparring Partners Raid Day takes the stage on April 13th. From 2:00 to 5:00 pm local time, you have a three-hour window to showcase your battling prowess, hunt for Shiny Pokémon, and take on some of the fiercest fighters in the game.

Kicking off the event is the formidable Mega Heracross, making its debut in Mega Raids. But the excitement doesn't stop there; Hariyama and Scraggy will also be crashing into regular raids with enhanced Shiny encounter rates. It's a bonanza for Fighting-type enthusiasts, so prepare your best counters and dive into the fray.

Beyond the raids, the event introduces a powerful new Charged Attack, Upper Hand. This move packs a punch with 70 power in Trainer Battles and can lower your opponent’s Defence, while in raids and gyms, it delivers a solid 50-power hit. It's a strategic addition that could turn the tide in your battles.

To enhance your raid experience, you can collect up to six free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs. Additionally, the Remote Raid Pass limit will temporarily increase to 20 for the weekend, allowing you more opportunities to join raids from anywhere.

For those looking to maximize their rewards, a $4.99 ticket is available, unlocking additional Raid Passes, bonus XP, increased Stardust, and a higher chance of obtaining Rare Candy XL. Don't forget to use *Pokémon Go codes* to snag even more freebies!

Make sure to participate in the free Timed Research during the event. Completing it within the time limit will reward you with heaps of Stardust and further raid-enhancing boosts. And for an extra edge, consider the bonus ticket bundle available in the Pokémon Go Web Store, which includes a Premium Battle Pass.
