Pokémon Go Announces Holiday Part 1 Event

Pokémon Go's Holiday Part One event kicks off December 17th and runs through the 22nd, bringing festive cheer and exciting opportunities to trainers. This first phase boasts double XP for catching Pokémon, halved egg hatching distances, and a plethora of costumed Pokémon encounters.

A holiday-themed Dedenne, including a shiny variant, makes its debut, alongside the first-ever appearance of Shiny Sandygast. Wild encounters feature Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, and Darumaka. Raids offer a seasonal lineup: one-star raids feature Pikachu and Psyduck in festive attire; three-star raids include Glaceon and Cryogonal in holiday outfits; and Mega Latias and Mega Latios headline Mega Raids.

7km Eggs hold the chance to hatch Hisuian Growlithe or a ribbon-adorned Cubchoo. Players can earn rewards through event-themed Field Research, a paid Timed Research offering themed Pokémon and Premium Battle Passes, and Collection Challenges rewarding Stardust and Poké Balls. Don't forget to check PokéStop Showcases and redeem available Pokémon Go codes for extra goodies!

The Pokémon Go Web Store offers two limited-time bundles: the Ultra Holiday Box (Pokémon Storage, Item Bag upgrades, and Rare Candies) and the Holiday Part 1 Ultra Ticket Box (event access and a Premium Battle Pass). These provide a convenient way to bolster your in-game resources. Prepare for a jolly Pokémon Go adventure!
