As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the thrilling Final Strike: GO Battle Week is set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and will run through until May 27th. This is your opportunity to bring your Kubfu journey to a spectacular conclusion by evolving it into the legendary Urshifu, available in two distinct forms: Single Strike and Rapid Strike.
To unlock the Single Strike style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week, follow the same steps but target 30 Water-type Pokémon instead. This week is your chance to tailor your Urshifu's form to your battling style.
Alongside the evolution quest, a Special Research will continue the seasonal storyline, available until June 3rd, 2025. Engaging in this research will reward you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon such as Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.
May 25th Is a Special Day
Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles. During this event, you'll enjoy several bonuses to enhance your gameplay.
You'll only need to travel a quarter of the normal distance to earn Max Particles. The storage cap for Max Particles will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. Additionally, you'll receive 8× Max Particles from these battles and gain the ability to make two extra Special Trades.
Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms during this event. These items temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple Max Mushrooms to extend the duration of the effect, although the power boost remains constant.
