The event will run from 10 AM to 6 PM local time, giving you ample opportunity to catch these powerful creatures.
In a surprising twist, Niantic accidentally released Black and White Kyurem in Pokemon GO back in 2023, sparking rumors and hopes of an imminent official release. After a period of uncertainty, fans can finally rejoice as these legendary Pokemon are set to shake up the game's meta.
Similar to the fusion mechanics introduced with Necrozma last year, you'll be able to fuse Black Kyurem with Zekrom using 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. For White Kyurem, you'll need 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy to fuse it with Reshiram. These fused forms will unlock new attacks: Freeze Shock for Black Kyurem and Ice Burn for White Kyurem. The fusion can be reversed at no cost, and the required energy can be obtained by defeating Kyurem in raids.
As an added bonus, the GO Tour: Unova event will feature special backgrounds inspired by Pokemon Black and White. By fusing Black Kyurem with Zekrom or White Kyurem with Reshiram, you'll unlock these unique backgrounds.
