Ralts Gets Convergent Form Makeover by Dedicated Pokémon Fan

A talented Pokémon fan has crafted inventive convergent forms for Ralts, showcasing unique designs for both male and female variations. The Pokémon fanbase frequently leverages established franchise concepts to fuel their creativity, with convergent forms – a relatively new concept introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – proving particularly popular.

Game Freak's introduction of convergent Pokémon, species with ecological similarities resulting in analogous designs despite distinct lineages, sparked a wave of fan art. Examples include Toedscool/Toedscruel (Tentacool/Tentacruel), Wiglett/Wugtrio (Diglett/Dugtrio), Poltchageist (Polteageist), and Sinistcha (Sinistea). This trend inspired Twitter user OnduRegion to envision two distinct convergent Ralts forms, dubbed "Salts."

OnduRegion's female Salts resembles a mermaid, her signature bowl cut adorned with a starfish, her eyes clearly visible. The male Salts, conversely, sports a differently colored tail, shark-like fins in its bowl cut, and a concealed face.

Beyond aesthetics, OnduRegion detailed the Pokémon's abilities and stats. The female Salts, a Water/Psychic type, is described in its Pokédex entry as luring ocean-goers to pilfer their possessions. The male Salts, a Water/Dark type, is characterized as a stubborn, clumsy creature with a habit of gnawing on hard objects to strengthen its teeth.

This isn't OnduRegion's first foray into impressive Pokémon fan art. Previous creations include novel Charcadet forms, a new Hawlucha evolution, and striking Paradox Forms for Mewtwo X and Y. The Ralts convergent forms, consistent with their previous work, impress with their creative designs that seamlessly blend with the established Pokémon aesthetic. Combined with compelling lore, OnduRegion's work makes the prospect of Ralts convergent forms a truly believable reality for fans.
