Riri Williams Smashes Truck in Debut Ironheart Trailer, Faces Untrustworthy Hood

by Hannah May 21,2025

Marvel has unveiled the first trailer for Ironheart, the much-anticipated MCU series set to debut on Disney+. In this series, Dominique Thorne returns as the armored superhero Riri Williams, a character she first portrayed in 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She is joined by Anthony Ramos, who plays Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The trailer provides a glimpse into the mini-series, which centers on Riri Williams' evolution into a prominent superhero following her earlier supporting role in the MCU.

The trailer hints at a complex relationship between Riri and The Hood, with Robbins initially appearing to support Williams in realizing her potential, though there seems to be more to his character than initially meets the eye. Ironheart, executive produced by Ryan Coogler, is scheduled to launch with a three-episode premiere on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET on Disney+.

In the series, Riri refers to her experience in Wakanda Forever as an "internship abroad." After being expelled from MIT, The Hood presents her with a choice: "anyone who has accomplished anything has to do questionable things. Are you in or out?" We get to see Ironheart in action, suiting up, flying, and impressively grounding herself to punch a truck, sending it flying over her head in a dramatic display of power.
