Rockstar Games, the mastermind behind the Grand Theft Auto series, has just released an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile platforms. After a six-year wait, fans can now dive back into the world of Bullworth Academy with fresh enhancements. This update is exclusively for mobile users, leaving console and PC gamers on the sidelines.
Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!
The Bully: Anniversary Edition update introduces new language support and focuses on improving stability and fixing bugs. Notably, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges to ensure smoother gameplay. Android users with compatible devices can now enjoy Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) for enhanced visuals. The update also refreshes the app icon and adds haptic feedback across both iOS and Android platforms.
Specific mission fixes have been addressed, including the notorious locker-picking issue in 'That Bitch' and the progression glitch in 'Weed Killer' if the window was broken prematurely. Additionally, the notorious bug where police cars would fall through the floor during 'The Rumble' has been resolved. The update also corrects instances where enemies wouldn’t engage Jimmy in combat, making fights feel more balanced. Crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu have been fixed as well.
What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?
While fans have long clamored for Bully 2, Rockstar appears focused elsewhere. Rumors suggest that a sequel was in development during the 2010s but was ultimately shelved in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. With GTA 6 on the horizon and many original developers having moved on, the chances of a Bully 2 seem slim. However, this new update for the Anniversary Edition offers a substantial upgrade for mobile players.
If you're new to Bully, you're in for a treat. It's Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game, where you play as Jimmy Hopkins, a rebellious 15-year-old navigating life at Bullworth Academy. The game is filled with Rockstar's signature humor and opportunities for open-world mischief.
You can grab Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store for €7.99, and it comes with full gamepad support. Don’t miss out on this enhanced mobile experience!
