Serial Cleaner: Clean Up Crime Scenes with Panache

by Connor Dec 18,2024

Serial Cleaner, the quirky crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Originally released in 2019, this title is returning to mobile platforms. But will this be a simple re-release or a fully revamped experience? Only time will tell.

The game plunges players into the gritty, yet humorous, 1970s. As Bob Leaner, you'll tackle the messy aftermath of mob violence, disposing of bodies, cleaning bloodstains, and concealing evidence—all while dodging watchful police officers.

Our previous 2019 review described Serial Cleaner as promising but unfinished. Developer Plug-In Digital now takes on publishing duties, aiming for a second chance to impress mobile gamers.

A Fresh Start?

Pre-registration is open, with a planned release date of February 11th, 2025. The extent of the improvements remains unclear. While a polished re-release would be welcome, given the time elapsed, significant enhancements might be overly optimistic.

The core concept remains undeniably captivating, but a simple mobile port dampens some of the excitement. However, Android users who missed the original, or those experiencing compatibility issues on iOS, may find this a welcome opportunity.
