Deadly Dudes: Retro Zombie Game Launches

NetEase Launches Deadly Dudes - A Zombie-Filled 90s Action Game for Android

NetEase Games has unleashed a fresh zombie-themed action title on Android - Deadly Dudes. Set in an alternate 1990s overrun by the undead, this side-scrolling adventure blends survival strategy with dark humor. Previously known as Retro Rampage during its year-long early access period (since 2024), the compact 2D game sends players chasing villains across the city through various missions.

Run & Gun Mayhem

Deadly Dudes encapsulates authentic 90s nostalgia through its visuals and audio. From gritty city streets and vintage vehicles to graffiti-laden walls and a pumping retro soundtrack - every element screams retro. Players battle zombie hordes using diverse firearms including pistols, shotguns, and rifles, each requiring strategic selection due to their unique handling characteristics.

Beyond the action, the game emphasizes base-building and tactical defense. Players can rescue survivors, upgrade shelter facilities, craft improved equipment, and construct defensive towers. Strategic planning between combat sequences becomes vital - your shelter serves as both final stronghold and sanctuary, directly impacting survival chances.

Meet the Dudes

The game features an entertaining roster of characters, each bringing distinct skills to the table - from old-school gunslingers to demolition experts and tech specialists. Combining their abilities with weapon choices enables various playstyles. An idle resource collection system keeps progression flowing even during downtime.

Wrapped in comedic chaos, the plot follows our heroes confronting the villainous Dr. Robotnik, whose schemes plunge them into a zombie-infested metropolis. Numerous in-game events offer additional rewards. Packed with 90s pop culture references, explosive action, and dad jokes, Deadly Dudes delivers a unique blend of shooting, building, and laughter. The game is now available on the Google Play Store.
