Sonos Arc Soundbar Discontinued: Last Chance to Save $300

by Isaac May 23,2025

Sonos rarely offers discounts on their popular speakers, making it a smart move to take advantage of a good sale when you spot one. Currently, both Amazon and Walmart are slashing $300 off the price of the Sonos Arc soundbar, bringing it down to just $599. This model has been discontinued following the launch of the new Arc Ultra, and while it's sold out on Sonos' official website, you might still find it in their Refurbished section.

The Sonos Arc was the flagship soundbar until the recent introduction of the Arc Ultra, which starts at $1,000 and has yet to see any discounts. The Arc is a 45" premium soundbar equipped with eleven precisely engineered internal speakers, including three tweeters and eight midwoofers. It supports Dolby Atmos with two dedicated height channels. Integrating the Arc with other Sonos speakers and subs is straightforward, thanks to the user-friendly app, making it an excellent choice for those seeking high-quality sound without the complexity of typical AV setups. Additional features include an ambient light sensor, HDMI eARC, capacitive touch controls, WiFi, and a built-in microphone for voice commands.

Although the Arc Ultra resembles the Arc in appearance and size, with only slight variations (1.5" wider, 0.4" shorter, and 0.4" shallower), its internal components have been significantly enhanced. The Arc Ultra boasts fourteen speakers, featuring seven tweeters, six midwoofers, and a new Sound Motion four-motor dual-membrane woofer. This upgrade results in larger, cleaner bass and improved dialogue clarity. Additionally, the Arc Ultra includes Bluetooth, a feature missing from the original Arc.

Sonos Arc Ultra Review by Nick Woodard

"With the Arc Ultra, Sonos has elevated an already top-tier soundbar in multiple ways. The sound quality is notably superior, with enhanced bass and a more immersive experience thanks to the expanded speaker array. Features like Bluetooth support and Android Trueplay compatibility further justify its premium price. While there are minor criticisms, and the company is still recovering from recent app and headphone issues, the Arc Ultra reaffirms Sonos' position as a leader in wireless audio technology."
