Speculation about Starfield coming to PlayStation 5 intensified over the weekend after fans noticed a PlayStation logo on Bethesda's official Creations website. The logo was linked to a work-in-progress ship decals Creation for Starfield. Although the Creation was subsequently removed, fans are buzzing with the possibility that Bethesda's sci-fi game, which has so far been exclusive to PC and Xbox, might soon be available on PS5.
They have added the Playstation logo to a creation. (I think they are beta testers, the logo only appears on one creation)

The discovery has led to speculation about whether Bethesda is planning a significant content update or possibly a new expansion to coincide with Starfield's potential PS5 release. The game has seen little excitement in recent months, especially after the lukewarm reception of the Shattered Space expansion. With Microsoft, Bethesda's parent company, set to host another summer showcase, fans are hopeful for more news on Starfield.
Bethesda has teased "exciting things" planned for Starfield this year, amidst growing player frustration over communication and updates. In June 2024, Bethesda reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Starfield and confirmed at least one more story expansion post-Shattered Space. In an interview with the YouTube channel MrMattyPlays, Bethesda Game Studios' Todd Howard mentioned the goal of releasing an annual story expansion for "hopefully a very long time."

Starfield was launched in September 2023, marking Bethesda's first new IP in years and the first mainline single-player game since Microsoft's acquisition of ZeniMax Media in March 2021. IGN's review of Starfield gave it a 7/10, noting that "Starfield has a lot of forces working against it, but eventually the allure of its expansive roleplaying quests and respectable combat make its gravitational pull difficult to resist."
In January, Microsoft's gaming chief, Phil Spencer, hinted at the possibility of Starfield coming to PS5. Reports from March 2024 suggested that both Starfield and MachineGames' Indiana Jones and the Great Circle were under consideration for PS5. Indiana Jones was later confirmed for a PS5 release in spring 2025, following its debut on PC and Xbox Series X/S. While Starfield has yet to be officially announced for PS5, Spencer's comments suggest it's a likely scenario.
Several Xbox games are already available on PS5, including Sea of Thieves by Rare, Hi-Fi Rush by Tango Gameworks, and Grounded and Pentiment by Obsidian. Microsoft also publishes Minecraft on PlayStation consoles and plans to release Doom: The Dark Ages and Ninja Gaiden 4 on PS5 later this year. Forza Horizon 5 by Playground is also set to come to PS5 soon. There are even whispers that Microsoft might finally bring Halo to PlayStation after decades of exclusivity.

Spencer has explained that Xbox's multiplatform strategy is partly driven by the need to generate more revenue for Microsoft's gaming division, especially after the massive $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
"We run a business," Spencer stated last August. "It’s definitely true inside of Microsoft the bar is high for us in terms of the delivery we have to give back to the company. Because we get a level of support from the company that’s just amazing and what we’re able to go do.
"So I look at this, how can we make our games as strong as possible? Our platform continues to grow, on console, on PC, and on cloud. It’s just going to be a strategy that works for us."
Bethesda Game Studios, with its 450 employees, is currently managing five teams focused on Starfield, Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout 76, mobile projects, and external development partnerships.
