Xion, the last bastion of humanity, transforms into a cozy haven adorned with warm lights and festive decorations in red, green, and white. The Last Gulp and Eve’s camp will also embrace the holiday spirit, spreading joy throughout Xion. The camp's ambiance is enhanced with seasonal BGM tracks like "Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away," offering a soothing retreat from the daily battles.

In addition to the holiday decor, a new mini-game is set to launch in Xion. Although specifics are scarce, it appears that players can earn special rewards by shooting targets on a holiday-themed drone.

Turn On or Off Stellar Blade’s Seasonal Contents

The latest update introduces an option to toggle seasonal events, including the Nier:Automata DLC. To adjust these settings, navigate to the game's Settings, go to Gameplay, and find Seasonal Event Content. Here, you can choose from three options:

  • Auto: Automatically enables or disables seasonal content based on the current season.
  • Disable: Turns off seasonal content regardless of the season.
  • Enable: Activates seasonal content at any time.

This feature allows players to enjoy seasonal content on their terms, though note that changing this setting will restart the game to the most recent save.

Mostly Well-Received, But Not Everyone Is Happy

Following PlayStation's announcement on Twitter (X) on December 16, the majority of fans expressed excitement over the new update. Many playfully dubbed Eve "Christmas Eve," blending the holiday spirit with the protagonist's name. Fans also appreciated Shift Up's commitment to regular seasonal updates.

However, some players raised concerns. One fan remarked, "I don’t mind at all but why does Stellar Blade have so many event updates? Just doesn’t seem like the type of game." Others were frustrated by the need to restart the game to experience the seasonal content.

While most games with seasonal content feature multiplayer and replayable elements, Stellar Blade is a single-player game with a playtime of about 30 hours. This means players may need to restart the game to fully enjoy the seasonal updates, as there's limited content post-main story.
