Stellar Blade PS5 Now $39.99 at Best Buy

by Finn May 08,2025

PS5 gamers, get ready to celebrate because a highly acclaimed PS5 exclusive, Stellar Blade, is now on sale at Best Buy for just $39.99. This represents a significant 43% discount, slashing $30 off the original price of $69.99. This deal is even better than the lowest price seen during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which was $10 higher. While this offer is exclusive to Best Buy, keep an eye out as other retailers like Amazon might match this price later.

43% Off Stellar Blade (Save $30)

PlayStation 5 Exclusive: Stellar Blade

Original Price: $69.99
Discounted Price at Best Buy: $39.99 (Save 43%)
Price at Amazon: $49.99 (Save 29%)

Stellar Blade, the first non-gacha game from Shift Up to hit the US market, has garnered attention for its challenging soulslike gameplay, stunning graphics, an exceptional soundtrack, and its provocative character design.

In our review, Mitchell Saltzman noted that "Stellar Blade stands out as a gorgeous and well-crafted action game with very impressive strengths and very clear weaknesses. While its story and characters may lack depth, and some RPG elements like repetitive sidequests could be better, the game's action compensates with a robust Sekiro-inspired combat system, a variety of formidable enemies, and plenty of hidden treasures that encourage exploration." IGN gave Stellar Blade a 7/10, though personally, I found it to be an even more enjoyable experience. Despite its quality, it didn't make it onto our list of the best PS5 games of 2024 due to its recent release (games must be out for at least 6 months to qualify).

Stellar Blade is a technically demanding title, and I recommend playing it in "Performance" mode to maintain a smooth 60fps. However, if you're a PlayStation 5 Pro owner, you can enjoy the game in "Enhanced" 4K mode, achieving frame rates of 50fps or higher. According to the official PlayStation blog, "With PS5 Pro, players will experience Stellar Blade in 4K resolution at 50fps or more, with smoother gameplay and enhanced detail through PSSR upscale mode. Additionally, the HFR (high framerate) option supports up to 80fps with a 120hz display."
