Stellar Blade's Latest Update Introduces Game-Breaking Bugs, But a Fix is Coming

The highly anticipated Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC update for Stellar Blade (Patch 1.009) unfortunately introduced several game-breaking bugs. Players are reporting softlocks in a main quest within an earlier dungeon, game crashes while using the Photo Mode's selfie camera, and issues with new cosmetic items not rendering correctly on Eve.

Developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix to address these problems. They advise players to avoid attempting to force quest progression and wait for the patch to prevent potential permanent softlocks.

NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements

The update also includes the exciting NieR: Automata collaboration! The collaboration, a result of mutual respect and creativity between directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro, provides 11 exclusive items. Players can find Emil, the NieR character, in Stellar Blade's world to acquire these rewards.

The much-requested Photo Mode is finally here, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges have also been added to encourage its use. Further additions include four new outfits for Eve, a new accessory affecting Tachy Mode (unlocked after a specific ending), a "No Ponytail" option, lip-sync support for six additional languages, improved projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functionality for the instant death skill, and various other minor bug fixes.
