Mastering Stealth in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: The Art of Rock Throwing

While direct combat has its thrills, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's stealth mechanics offer a compelling alternative. A key element of successful stealth is the strategic use of rock throwing. Here's how to effectively utilize this tactic.

Throwing Rocks: A Step-by-Step Guide

Remember: Rock throwing is exclusively available while in stealth mode. Activate stealth by pressing the right stick on a controller or the C key on PC. Once in stealth, initiate a rock throw by holding the following button:

  • PlayStation: R1
  • Xbox: RB
  • PC: G

Upon holding the button, Henry's hand will appear onscreen, pebble in hand. A crosshair will indicate the trajectory of your throw. Release the button to launch the rock.

Pro Tips for Rock Throwing Success

  • Unlimited Ammunition: Don't worry about running out of rocks; your supply is limitless.
  • Noise Radius: The sound of a thrown pebble has a limited range. Ensure your target is within close proximity for optimal effect. However, hitting objects like cups or plates will create a significantly louder sound.
  • Distraction and Opportunity: Successfully thrown rocks will draw enemies' attention, giving you the chance to either eliminate them stealthily or simply avoid confrontation. Be cautious, though – a direct hit on an enemy will immediately alert them.
  • Bird Nests: A Hidden Reward: Utilize rocks to knock down bird nests scattered throughout the game world. These nests can contain valuable items such as eggs (providing a small health boost) or even rare dice badges.
