Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them

Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. This guide focuses on the five Golden Idols hidden within Act 3, unique quest items not automatically added to your quest log. Unlike typical quest items, these aren't turned in to an NPC for progression; instead, they're valuable trade goods.

Locating the Golden Idols

After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling to the past via a portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City). This ancient Vaal city, representing the civilization at its zenith, holds three of the Golden Idols. The remaining two are located in the connected area of Aggorat. These idols aren't enemy drops; they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.

  • Utzaal Golden Idols:
    • Glorious Idol
    • Golden Idol
    • Grand Idol
  • Aggorat Golden Idols:
    • Exceptional Idol
    • Elegant Idol

Selling Your Treasures

Once you've collected a Golden Idol, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and locate Oswald in the northern part of the area. He's your buyer. Each idol fetches a significant sum:

  • Golden Idol: 500 Gold
  • Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
  • Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
  • Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
  • Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Finding all five yields a substantial 6000 Gold reward. Since they occupy inventory space and serve only as valuable sellables, it's recommended to sell them immediately after discovery to maximize your bag space.
