Iron Gate Studio's latest developer diary gives us a sneak peek at Valheim's next biome: The Deep North. The star of the show? Incredibly cute seals – almost too cute to hunt!
The Deep North update introduces seals with varying appearances and resource yields. Horned or spotted seals, for example, offer richer rewards than their standard counterparts, adding a layer of strategic depth to hunting.
Iron Gate's marketing for this update is unique. Instead of standard trailers, they're releasing a series of narrative-driven videos following Hervor Blood Tooth's exploration of the Far North. These episodes subtly reveal aspects of the new biome, showcasing snowy coastlines and breathtaking auroras.
While a release date remains unannounced, The Deep North is anticipated to be Valheim's final biome, potentially marking the game's exit from early access.
