Zenless Zone Zero Sets January 22 Launch for Major 1.5 Update
Mark your calendars, Proxies - Zenless Zone Zero's much-anticipated Version 1.5 drops on January 22, bringing fresh faces and exciting gameplay additions to New Eridu. HoYoverse keeps the content flowing with this sizable update featuring two brand-new S-Rank agents, quality-of-life improvements, and some long-requested features that fans have been asking for.
The current Version 1.4 delivered satisfying story conclusions and introduced fan-favorite character Hoshimi Miyabi, but now it's time to look ahead. The recent Special Program livestream gave us our first proper look at what's coming, and trust us - you'll want to save those Master Tapes.
Meet the New Agents: Ether Support and Fiery Powerhouse
Version 1.5 introduces two intriguing new S-Rank characters that will shake up team compositions. Phase 1 (starting January 22) brings Astra Yao, an Ether Support specialist who joins Nicole and Zhu Yuan as only the third Ether-based agent in the roster. Her signature W-Engine, Elegant Vanity, will also be available during her banner period.
When Phase 2 kicks off on February 12, players can recruit Evelyn Chevalier - a fiery Attack-focused bodyguard with serious combat potential. Her personal W-Engine, Heartstring Nocturne, will be pullable alongside her during this limited-time banner.

Banner Reruns Finally Arrive
In perhaps the most welcome addition for collectors, Version 1.5 introduces banner reruns - matching the systems in Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. Phase 1 will see Ellen Joe and her signature W-Engine returning, followed by Qingyi and her weapon during the midseason update. This gives players another shot at agents they might have missed initially.
With all these new additions, plus various gameplay tweaks and improvements, Version 1.5 looks set to keep the Zenless Zone Zero community engaged well into the new year. The update arrives just in time to give players fresh content as we enter 2025's gaming calendar.
