"Polytopia Introduces Weekly Challenges Mode"

Are you ready for a fresh challenge in The Battle of Polytopia? The game's latest update introduces Weekly Challenges, a new competitive twist that promises to spice up your 4X strategy experience. Let's dive into what this means for players.

Previously, randomness was a key element of The Battle of Polytopia, with varying enemies, resources, and maps keeping every game session unpredictable. But now, with the new free update, the game's competitive landscape is becoming more structured and exciting.

Each week, all players will be given the same map, tribe, and gameplay conditions. The challenge? You have 20 turns to achieve the highest possible score. You can only attempt this challenge once per day, giving you a maximum of seven tries per week. This structured format adds a new layer of competition and strategy to the game.

One of the best parts of this new feature is the opportunity to try tribes you might not own yet. The Battle of Polytopia boasts 16 tribes in total—four are included in the base game, while the other twelve can be purchased for $1-4 each. However, in the Weekly Challenges, everyone gets to compete with the same tribe, regardless of ownership.

Will the Weekly Challenges make The Battle of Polytopia more exciting? Absolutely. Additionally, the update introduces a new League system, starting everyone in the Entry League. Your performance each week determines your movement within the leagues: the top third of players move up, the bottom third move down, and the middle group remains unchanged.

As you progress through the leagues, the difficulty scales accordingly. In the Entry League, you'll face AI on Easy difficulty, but by the time you reach the Gold League, you'll be competing against Crazy difficulty bots. And don't worry about missing a week—while you won't be demoted, your ranking will adjust based on the performance of other players.
